Thank you for your interest in Grant County Fire
District 13. We are a completely volunteer staffed
emergency services organization which provides fire
suppression, rescue and medical aid response to
approximately 130 square miles surrounding
the city of Ephrata.
Grant
County Fire District 13 has been working very hard to
modernize the district's equipment and training.
In the past several years we have undergone some amazing
changes. In 2003 we consolidated two of our
outlying stations into a "headquarters" facility.
This allowed us to establish a more centralized meeting
point for our firefighters thus reducing our response
times. We were also able to add resident living
quarters for up to three firefighters. In addition
we are still in the process of upgrading our entire
fleet of apparatus and fire equipment to complete
District 13's total upgrade.
Safety and
customer service is our mission. Our firefighters
undergo hundreds of hours of training to meet our
training requirements. In addition our call volume
and district is continually increasing in population and
fire response. We meet often to train the firefighters to the above
recommended standards. We work to constantly
improve our efficiency, interoperability and response.
Grant County Fire District 13 is
always seeking the talents of hard working, customer
service minded men and women from our community to
provide a wide range of fire suppression, rescue, minor
hazardous materials assistance and public education to
the greater-Grant County Fire District 13 area. If

Meeting Tomorrow's Challenges... Today!
